Day Job Killer - As Good as Project X ? The Day Job Killer release was another incredible piece of online marketing, but was it all hype? Ever since I'd first read Project X, I 'd been waiting for the follow up with huge anticipation. Chris McNeely is a genius, the amount of publicity he generates for his products is truly amazing. Us mere mortals can only dream of having so many eager customers beating down the doors for our online products. The marketing and launch of the product were mind blowing.
First things first, Affiliate Project-X sold close to 6,000 copies in its first week. It was the product's enormous popularity that drew me to it and made me decide to part with $98. If the guy who wrote Affiliate Project-X, Chris McNeely could mastermind the sale of 6,000 ebooks in one week he must know a thing or two about Affiliate Marketing. Project X was brilliant, but is Day Job Killer as good?
Affiliate Project-X Changed My Clickbank Statement Forever! Before reading Project-X I had been concentrating on developing Adsense sites. At that point my previous attempts at Affiliate Marketing had proven fruitless, my total Clickbank earnings to that date were a pathetic $62. What made it worse was that I had spent a lot more than that on PPC advertising to earn it!
Within days of buying Project-X my Clickbank statement changed forever. Affiliate sales worth $100 regularly appear in my account thanks to Project-X. Applying methods such as the Leech and the Workhorse have proven to be extremely profitable. Chris's tips on copywriting and writing PPC Adverts are excellent.
So To My Verdict On Day Job Killer: Its Worth Buying, But Its Not As Good As Project X
Affiliate Project-X is simply brilliant and is an essential read for anyone with serious intentions in Affiliate Marketing. Even now I often pick it up and re-read it when my affiliate sales pages don't perform.
But Day Job Killer is worth a read, in particular if you use Adwords to promote anything, there are some really excellent tips in the book, In fact the Adwords tips and advice are very good and worth the price alone.
So what else is there in Day Job Killer ...
"DIRECT LINKING ON CRACK" "Direct Linking on Crack" is a Day Job Killer technique based around "The Google Cash" method. It's back to affiliate marketing without the need for Landing or Squeeze Pages. With the Direct Linking method you need no HTML knowledge. You just set up a PPC campaign pointing at the Affiliate Product's site. Google have made it difficult to apply the "Google Cash" method in the last couple of years, but Day Job Killer shows you how you can still do it successfully and make lots of money. My opinion - you have to pick products very carefully to make a profit with this method, and its more time consuming than the author claims for that reason, but you could make it work, and the Adwords advice is excellent, lots of great tips that I was unaware of. "CAMPAIGN NUKING" Day Job Killer's "Campaign Nuking" technique shows you how to "steal" other advertiser's Adwords campaigns, underbid them and profit big time with your affiliate sales. My Opinion - great Adwords tips again.
"THE LEVELLER" "The Leveller" is a longer term technique in Day Job Killer that shows you how to build a list at the expense of others, and then use the list to build a long term income. My Opinion - not new, but it does focus you on the need to grow a list in this game, and this a great method of list building. There are other sections in the book that use offline advertising methods, but in reality you need a lot of time on your hands for those strategies - they should have been included in "so you've killed your day job"! In summary, having read the whole of Day Job Killer several times already I would give it an 8/10. Its good but just not a good as Affiliate Project X, which was great. I'm probably disappointed with Day Job Killer because Project X was just so good, and my expectations were high.
My recomendations: If you use Adwords to promote products, buy Day Job Killer for the great tips in it. If you are an Affiliate Marketer and you haven't got Affiliate Project X, BUY IT today, no online marketer should be without it!
