Ever heard of niche marketing? Niche marketing is when you basically take a niche, could be fly fishing or crocheting and then market to people who have those interests. To begin, learn about long tail keyword selection. Instead of simply marketing about "crocheting", you might narrow your focus and market to people who like to crochet afghan baby blankets. Create a website or blog about your niche. This can be done free or cheap using Wordpress or Blogger. Add a Clickbank product or AdSense or both. I prefer AdSense for newbies because you can actually starting seeing a profit within a few days. Don't expect riches. To start .50-$1.00 a day is great - AdSense wise. As your traffic increases, so will your AdSense profits and Clickbank sales.
Anyway, the feeling of making your first dollar is terrific. When we started online marketing we made our first clickbank sales within a few weeks so either method of monetizing ( making your website/blog profitable) is ok.
Now once your site is set up. Write articles about your niche- promote using bum marketing methods- bum marketing = free marketing. Tedious but free)
These include:
Social networking( Digg, Squidoo, HubPages, Myspace)
Article Marketing " A article a day keeps recession at bay." ( Go to Ezines, Go Articles, there are others)
Free Ads: Backspace, Craigslist, US Free Ads
Ebay promotion if applicable
Forum posting - Make sure to create a signature which directs traffic to your website.
Lettering on your car
These methods will all drive loads of traffic to your website. Get a free Stat Counter. They give loads of details about your traffic, where its from etc. How long they stay. Graphs, charts. Invaluable information you can use to target who your visitors are and what methods of driving traffic are working best.
If you have a blog update it frequently. Wordpress is great because it has Search Engine Optimization features already built in. If you are familiar with webdesign at all you can actually create a website based on a wordpress template- it makes things so easy!
Create a site map and submit it to Google.
Promote, promote, promote.
If you follow these steps you should start to see profit within a week or two.
Now here's the kicker: Once you have 1 site that is averaging $5-10 dollars a day what do you do?
Start all over again- Get a new niche. You don't have to have one site bringing in hundreds a day. Why not get a few dozen sites on autopilot . Each earning $5 / day. I'm speaking from personal experience here. So I know it can be done. I only own about a dozen domains, but I know people who own hundreds, literally so the possibilities are endless.
These methods have worked wonders for me, and I just thought I would share. Google everything I mentioned. Learn each step in detail and implement. Then watch your success.
